Almost an Island

Almost an Island - Esthwaite Water in the Lake District national park
Esthwaite Water in the Lake District national park, sunlight burning through a dense morning mist has revealed the trees that are on an 'Ees', this is an old English term meaning an area of land liable to flooding, the word iteslf is derived from an Anglo-Saxon word for Island. The mist has obscurred the background you'd normally see from this viewpoint and the reflection on the calm surface of the lake made my title seem appropriate.
