Sailing through the haze

Yachts competing in the 2019 Round the Island race, this view is as they are approaching Yarmouth, from Cowes where they had started, it was an easterley wind which meant they could raise their colourful Spinnaker sails. The temperature was rising rapidly on this sunny morning and the heat haze is visually apparent across the surface of the sea. The photo was taken from near Fort Victoria.
